Hello!

Phrase from the new episode of How I Met Your Mother:

PJ's gonna be getting a very confusing card in the mail, along with a garment

that he should by no means wear for three days and then mail back to me.

Does it mean: a garment he shouldn't wear for three days?

And I have another question from the same episode.

Barney and Marshall are trying to figure out a thing that will help Marshall not to lose his job, to be less expendable:

- Hey, Barney.I thought of a "thing" to make me more essential here.

I'm Eco Guy, 'cause everybody loves a guy who recycles, right?

- Fired. What else you got?

- I thought of a few others: Wacky Tie Guy.

- Fired.

- Daily Fun Fact Guy?

- Did you know that you're fired?

-  Know a Good Stretch for That Guy?

- Downward-facing fired.

What does the word "stretch" mean in this sentence? Is it like muscle stretching?

Thank you a lot!

Not really! Big Smile  It's a description of a "routine," preceded by a warning not to do it.

"You should by no means walk to the end of the pier with all your clothes on and then take three more steps."

"Don't do this!   -   (Wear this garment for three days and then mail it back to me.)"

I'm guessing this refers to a similar "routine" which someone had previously done.

I think you're right about that.  He is a "useful guy," because no matter what kind of a pain or physical problem you may have, he has a stretch you can do that will correct it.

Edit.  I just remembered something I read which might relate to your first excerpt.

I think some girls make a mail-order business out of sending you their soiled undergarments.  Thinking

My apologies if I'm way off base.  It's a strange world out there. Surprise
