the sentece was came in the following Conversation....


Person1 says:  Hello Sir I started the work today ,I will complete the work with in next 10 days.

Person2 says:

Hi  I will hold to that

can you now tell me the exact meaning...

Because I am not well versed in English My mother Language is Tamil.

Hi,

OK, I see. The correct expression is 'I will hold you to that', meaning 'I expect you to keep your promise, to do what you  say you will do'.
