But first of all, what is my new electric automobile? It is a conventional design compact car that will use electricity rather than gasoline to power itself. This new car will feature four 36 by 24 inches solar cells located on the roof of the it that will allow the car to convert sunlight into electric power. It will also feature a 36 by 24 by 24 inches lead-acid battery located in the retractable hardtop of the car to store power. This new car will replace the conventional gasoline engine with an all new electric power engine that will use the electric energy store in the lead-acid battery to power the itself. During day time this car will use energy from solar cells to power itself and during night time or in other conditions such as rain where the car does not have access to sunlight, it will rely on the energy store in its lead-acid battery to power its engine. Last of all, this new vehicle will also has plug-in battery ability that will allow the car's acid-lead battery to be recharge by connecting a plug into electric power source such a electric power grid.

One of the major advantage my new electric automobile over conventional automobile is environment friendly. Although today cars allow us to travel faster and further, they also produce 1.5 billion tons of CO2 annually. CO2 is one of the major threats to our environment today. When this insidious gas is emission from the car, it can mix with cloud and create acidic rain. Acidic rain is extreme harmful as it can destroy farmlands and damage city's buildings. Worse, increase CO2gas in atmosphere can also increase the greenhouse effect, which trap heat absorb from sun. This increase in heat can lead to global warming, a serious threat to our survival. Global warming can melt ice in both North and South poles that will raise ocean level and consume our land. It can also increase in the intensity of extreme weather such as cyclone and increased pace of desertification that degrade land into desert. Overall CO2 can cause major damages to our environment that will make Earth unsuitable to human. As result by replacing conventional gasoline automobile with my electric automobile, we can stop producing this deadly every time we drive, thus protecting the environment.

Another threat that results from conventional automobile is the oil crisis we are facing today. Every time we drive our automobile we use gasoline. Not only does this cause co2 emission that damages the environment, but it also cost us a large amount of money. In US, the average person buys 16 barrels of oil each year, that is $1400 a year! Think of the all the things we can buy and all the money we can save if we didn’t waste all that money on oil. Even worse US didn't make all the oil it need, as result US has to import 60% of oil. Our current major supply of oil is from Middle East. This is very damage since this makes us depend on foreign oil. If anytime Middle East stop the flow the oil to us, it would seriously damage our economy such what happen in 1973 oil crisis. By switching to my new eclectic, not only will we save money by stopping buying expensive gasoline, it will also stop US’s dependence on foreign oil.

Although nothing is perfect, though progress we make thing closer and closer to perfect. Today gasoline automobile have many faults including the environment damage and dependence on oil it cause, thought progress I can invent a new electric car that solve these problems and a more step toward perfect.

My mom once told me a story about the lion and the deer. She said on the African grassland the deer mother tells her children when they run, they must run faster than the slowest deer because if they don't, then they will get eaten by the lion. The lion mother also tells her children when they run, they must run faster than the slowest deer, because if they don’t, then they will not catch any deer and will starve to death.

This story has taught me a variable lesson. It has taught me to always try my hardest because other are trying their as well. This is why during my junior year in high school, I challenged myself and tried my hardest by taking as many AP classes as I can while constantly volunteering outside of school.

During my junior year I decided to challenge myself academically by taking as many AP classes I can. I took three AP classes including world history, chemistry and language. These AP classes were very hard, but I wanted push myself to the best of my ability. Of these three classes AP world history was easiest for me because I read a lot of books on history so I had a lot of background information. As result I was able to get a on every single history tests and score a five on the AP exam. The AP chemistry and AP Language were both a lot harder than history for me. In chemistry I had to work harder in that class then any other class I have ever taken. Every night I would start doing chemistry homework and study for chemistry at eight and not finish until twelve clock. But during this time I always worked as hard as I can and in the end the result of my hard works was clear; I was able to learn chemistry and score a five on the AP exam. The last AP class I took was AP language. It was my weakest subject. I am an Asian American and English was my second language so even my parents weren’t sure if I am ready to take this class. In the end I still decided to take it because I wanted to challenge myself. In that class I had to write one essay every week and write a ten pages research essay for the first semester. In the end I was able to survive it with a b average and a three on the AP exam. It wasn't perfect, but I tried my best and as result I am proud of it.

During all this time I still volunteer every week by working in the hospital and protecting the environment. Every Monday I choose to volunteer at the hospital as a cashier in the gift shop department. I choose to work there not only because I want to serve my community, but also to improve my interaction skill (I have to constantly talk to different people and answer their question while working as a cashier). Also every other Saturday I help protect the environment by working with an organization to pick up and recycle trashes on the street. At the beginning of the year I had my friends volunteering with me at both of these places, but as the time go by all all my friends quit volunteering either because they became too lazy or didn't have enough time. However I never quit both place I wanted to try my hardest and not give up.

Throughout my junior I always tried my hardest whatever is in school and when I am volunteering. This is because I know if I tried my best, I will have the greatest chance of succeeding.
