The editor is the first person (actually it is a editorial department) to review. So "editor invited" means that an editor has been selected to review your article, but he or she has not responded. "With editor" means that the editor is selected, has  accepted, and is currently reviewing it. Technical Check In Progress  The MS is being edited for factual accuracy,  OR  the grammar, punctuation, spelling etc. are being checked. Edit.  A.
