I am trying to use this reason+answer form to answer this REPORT style IELTS essay...But I am not that sure.

Wild animals and plants are still not protected by humans. What are the causes and what are your solutions?

Human beings are progressing at an amazing rate on various realms. However, there are still many kinds of wild lives surviving difficultly or even extinguishing every year. Biologists are worried about this phenomenon quite much. It is essential for us to analyse the reasons of this terrible problem and then pinpoint some effective remedies.

The first reason may lie in the fact that we are focusing on the fast growing economy and overlooking other important factors in the world. Even rare animals like pandas or crocodiles are often killed to produce related goods although these actions violate the law, let alone those precious plants. What we can do to prevent is to create or strengthen the laws. Aristotle, the greatest and most influential philosopher in ancient Greece, was quoted “The law is reason, free from passion.” Therefore, whoever, whenever or however the law is broken, there should be stringent punishment.

Besides, the misunderstanding and lose of realisation is a contributory cause. Public understanding about the consequences of disappearing lives in the wild is not completely. Most of the citizens do not know what it means and where it will lead to. I just read a recently published article in Chinese Geography which mentioned more than half of the investigated citizens never heard about several categories of lives were in danger when one disappeared from the biological chain. In this regard, education seems rather essential and media are always responsible for conveying more news about it. The story may be less tragedy if positive education would be received.

Additionally, the population explosion and the worse environment is also a vital factor contribute to wild loses. The population overload has made the universe more and more crowded and the contamination has made the world worse and worse. As a result of it, we are unable to preserve the animals or plants in the wild simply for the sake of no existing suitable space. Theoretically, we can solve this hazard if the population were balanced and no more damage to the earth. Only when the whole societies join together and work hard can we really solve this problem sooner or later.

To sum up, the protection of wild lives calls for more public attention. We are all looking forward to a better-off world. Hand in hand, step by step, comprehensive solutions would alleviate the problem one day.

I think you can develop your ideas a bit more if you do not jump from idea to idea.

I usually cover the causes in the first half and the solutions in the second half of the essay, but that's just how I've always handled these essay questions.
