I read in the newspaper and can't understand the phrases in bold type below:

1/ By early yesterday 11 farms had been infected with H5N1 bird flu viruses.

2/ An estimated 8 million undocumented people live in th US  illegally.

3/ The annual golf competition wrapped up at Ho Chi Minh City Thu Duc Golf course.

Please help me understand these phrases

1) Before early morning yesterday ....

2) People with no proper papers (passport, visa, etc) ...

3) Ended/finished/was completed ...
