I would say one of the following:

Could you turn the music down please? / Could you turn down the music please?

Would you mind lowering the music?

Please disregard what i wrote about the visor thing above. I need to re-phrase it.

here you go: I need that visor up or down. Is this the right way to say it?
thanks in advance.

You're right Sonia!

Can/Could I put the visor up/down please?

Would you mind if I raised/lowered the visor?
