In the sentence for the recipe: ''Whole Wheat Vegetable Lasagna''
how do you understand the word ''casserole''? Dish baked in the oven?

''This dish can be enjoyed right away, but like many casseroles, it tastes even better the next day.''

Thanks

No, a "casserole", though in French it refers only to the pan, means a dish that requires a lengthy time of cooking, or simmering, and that you can prepare the day before you intend to eat it. indeed it tastes - even - better when you re-heat it on the following day.

Thanks pieanne. We don't have similar word with that meaning, but I can always lean to descriptive translation:)
Thanks. How are you? Still surfing? I haven't seen Nima or Abbie for the last two days.
I've almost finished my book, and I can't wait to start enjoying in the spring. It's beautiful here! The sun is shining and people are wearing short sleeves. and all I can do, is sit and stare at thecomputer.:) Are you going somewhere this summer, like a vacation or sth?

Hi, Antonia!
No, we're not going anywhere, never do in the summer anyway: since we run a pottery here, we have to be here when all the tourists come... My son is going to some sports camp (comes back in the evening), my daughter + boyfriend are coming to stay with with us for a month or so, won't be bad! the sun is shining here too, but I've still got long sleeves on, only the tourist are barefoot & in shorts! Anyway, I'm not an outdoor person...
