Hello,

I have heard people say "it's catch 22." I'm not sure if I post this in a right forum, but what do they mean by saying catch 22?

A woman from Europe gets a job in the U.S. 
She arrives in California by plane.
She needs a car to get to work.
She finds out the following -- a "Catch-22":

To buy a car in California, you have to have a California driver's license.
To get a driver's license, you have to take a driver's test.
To take the driver's test, you have to have a car.  Smile [:)]

Catch-22.  Circular (usually bureaucratic) requirements or regulations which make it impossible to achieve some desired outcome.

catch 22 is a book.
some examples of this "catch" are:

1. You can go home from war if you are crazy...but you must ask first. If you ask that means you dont want to risk your life, which is a sane thing to do so you are not crazy. Therefore you can not be sent home at all.

2. One major wanted to avoid everyone while they wanted to see him. so they can go in his office when he is out but when he is in they are not allowed in therefore they will never see him.
