TakaThe book in hand translates the 'cell division' as that of cell stage
I don't see the connection. I don't quite grasp what is meant by 'cell stage'.
TakaRather than that, isn't it 'cells divided by experimenters'?
No. Cell division means the process by which one cell divides to form two cells. Multiple cell divisions beginning with a fertilized egg cell are the basis of the growth of organisms. The transfer process explained in the second sentence is an independent process. It is this second process that is done by the experimenters. (Mother Nature does the first process: cell division.) The way these two are juxtaposed creates some confusion. The text could have been clearer.
