I have a question on the Pre interview task that reads like this

Please correct and cite an example

I am playing tennis every Tuesday.

I corrected it to I play tennis every Tuesday

 

But I would like to to know the source of the reason why.  I have Swan's  Practical English Usage text.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it
