But it cannot be denied that Shakespeare looks more Spanish than English. Which was probably what the royal family then looked like and could have looked like later, considering Queen Bloody Mary...and if Elizabeth who came after her took to Philip who also came after her, then Shakespeare could have looked like the uncle of that Spanglish royal family that never was.

Very interesting post. I think (after translating all of his sonnets into Bengali) that Shakespeare would have wanted to be Cervantes rather than anyone else, if he really had to be anyone different from himself!
