Can i chage the sentence like this??

i  have read one news from the BBC(BEEP). there is one news has a this sentence.

"All of the dead and injured - aged between 18 and 31 - were reportedly from the cabin cruiser."

 1.Here what is the verb?

2.Can I replace the word "age " for "aged"?

 All of the dead and injured - age between 18 and 31 - were reportedly from the cabin cruiser.

 please help me.I'm very beginner for English language.


 if it is correct(All of the dead and injured - age between 18 and 31 - were reportedly from the cabin cruiser.). what is the difference between those two sentence?

Hi Nithila,

1. The verb is "were." They were from the cabin cruiser.

2. No, you need to use "aged." Or you can say "whose ages were between," but "aged" describes them (an adjective) while "age" is a noun.
