Dear all,

If it's the senior vice president of sales, chances are he's going to have his annual sales meeting with his 2,000 associates, which is a really big opportunity for a hotel.

What does the word chance mean in this context? The likelihood?

Yes, that is right.  The fixed phrase 'chances are' = the likelihood is.
