Hi,

I think normally the preposition goes with the verb used in these types of situations. Do you agree? Would you say this kind of thing is pretty common in English writing?

It ensures an abundant harvest, along with peace, for the village.

If the "ensures" is changed to the word "gives," the presposition follows would be "to" and not "for" as done above.

It gives an abundant harvest, along with peace, to the village.
