Just in case you haven't read it at the Poetry part. Have fun. And your students too.
Romeo Romeo
A love’s struck Romeo on the famous streets of Verona… ( Dire Straits)
Romeo was really struck.
Juliet will never be his wife. That’s sure.
At the marketing-management course last year he learned about choosing the right alternatives.
Like:
Laying in the shadow of the big oak stroking the night-crawlers and dreaming.
Changing his Orange card to Vodafone after two SMS-less awful days.
Calling his publisher to ask about the sales of his last love poems volume, and act accordingly.
Buying a Ck One for himself and trying to find a guy.
Buying green contact lens and trying to find a girl.
Changing the channel to Big Brother.
Getting drunk.
Getting drunk.
But, sadly, Romeo was a real romantic lover. With creole skin, curly hair, azurro eyes, pink soul. For him Juliet was everything. The birds’ song, The cricket’s chirping. The fish’s smile on the bottom of the sea.
But, as even big companies like Microsoft, had points too. He meanly killed Juliet’s innocent brother. ( Of course nobody’s innocent.) We can say he was quite a revenger. He negated the law of the family, the law of church, the law and spirit of the era. Juliet was an obsession. Some sort of muse driving him mad instead of making him write.
What can we say more about Romeo?
If he was living now he would probably analyse the alternatives. Love is the supreme power. Love dies anyway. The cathartic feeling of dying with an immense love in your heart can be irresistible.

I'll use it next term. What does Ck stand for? Calvin Klein?

Yes. Unisex. The first unisex perfume. Once , while I was still in the pharmaceutical business I had a lot of good perfumes in the trunk ( that we gave as presents for pharmacists) and I met a very famous Romanian rock star in a pub in Bucharest, so I gave him a Ck One. Since then when I see them on stage I think about the smell on him. Last week I met them here, in my town after a concert. He remembered me, though he was quite drunk.:)))

Ok. So instead of the Dire Straits line you should read:" A lovestruck Romeo sings a stretsuss serenade.." Although this word, streetsuss , is completely new for me.

There is no Dire Straits line in it. You probably took it out.

There is. The motto. So do you want to have a look at the cover of my volume?
