Dear Sirs, Subject: Visa Validity Issue
I had intended to stay 4 weeks in Canada and applied for a visa for 4 weeks as well. However, there was a date mix-up ignoring my intended dates of travel. The details are:
Visa is now valid from 22/03/08 until 21/04/08
It was issued on 29/03/08
I was advised to collect passport on 03/04/08.
The issue is that:
- the visa validity of about 4 weeks, starts 12 days before I was advised to collect passport.
- the visa was issued one week after the first day of its validity.
- the visa ignores my intended dates of travel (i.e. 2nd week of May 2008) mentioned in the letter submitted along with my passport after winning the appeal.
I'm unable to travel because the visa will be invalid before my intended date of travel; it also permits of fewer days than requested. Please reissue visa to accord with my intended dates of travel. The original letter of intended dates of travel is attached.
