Hi,

What does check this out / check it out mean?

It can mean get some information about this, with the idea of checking its correctness.

Your boss asks you to check out some information he received from another company.

Or, informally, it can be used in a 'quicker' sense, meaning just have a quick look at this.

Hey, check out that great looking guy over there!

(There are also some other meanings, eg you check a book out from the library.)

Best wishes, Clive
