Hi,
I am wondering how else (apart from "cheers") I can end an informal letter.
Thank you.

Hi, I use to write: Take care! or All the best!

I hope you don't mind my little correction, Francesca.  This mistake happens to be one of my pet peeves.

Cheers!

WAIT.  I'm editing now.  Perhaps you meant "use" and the problem is what follows [could you mean "in writing"?]

Hi Philip, I'm kind of lost here...by the way I meant: usually when I write a mail to my friends I end it with "Take care" or "All the best". Since I write mails to my friend almost every day I thought that I could write "I use to write" while "I used" means that I don't write mails anymore ....not quite sure if it is correct though Stick out tongue [:P]
Thank you anyway, I appreciate to be corrected: it's the only way to learn something! Smile [:)]

I used to write refers to what you wrote in the past. I use to write is not the present tense of I used to write.

We can write 'emails', but not 'mails' because 'mail' is an uncountable noun.

My mistake: I wrote mails but I had emails in my mind!

So I had simply to write: "I usually write" I guess

Thank you!

I agree with you.
