A chestnut is bigger than a hazelnut. Chestnut's are normally cooked before they are eaten.

Yes - looking them up is a good idea - Google images has some very good pictures of both types of nut. You will be able to see the difference immediately although I couldn't find a picture of the together so that you can see the size difference.
