More and more Chinese tourists are flocking into the US. According to a survey done by the department of tourism, the number of Chinese tours will double in 10 years. On average, Chinese tourists spend more than tourists from other countries. In an interview, some Chinese tourists say they will buy designer clothes while there are in the States because the prices of designer clothes are much higher in China than they are in the States. Washington is thrilled as it will boost its tourism industry which has been sluggish in recent years.
Please correct any mistakes.
Thanks

over the next 10 years - in the course of 10 years

in 10 years - in 10 years time.

Hope the edits are clear - I have a problem with the content editor - can't change colours!

I really appreciate your effort to provide explanations for your changes. However, I still don't understand when to use which, in vs over the next
Could you briefly describe when you would use which?

I will do it in 45 minutes - I will do it 45 minutes from now

I will do it over the next 45 minutes - I will be doing it during the course of the next 45 minutes. So anytime from 0 to 45 minutes from now.

However,

It is possible to understand from - I will do it in 45 minutes - that I will complete the task within 45 minutes.

the number of Chinese tours will double in 10 years - I read this as the number will double in 10 years time.

the number of Chinese tours will double over the next 10 years  - it is clear that it will happen during the course of the 10 years.

the number of Chinese tours will have doubled in 10 years - the number will have doubled during the 10 year period.

10-year period. Shouldn't it be hyphenated?
