Hi,

choose the best answer

1 Union leaders feel it is time cabinet Ministers put their .. on the table regarding their long-term plans

A  cards           b   hands      C   feet        D papers

A. 'Put your cards on the table' is a standard expression meaning 'speak frankly'.

2  The .....last thing i want now is to catch a cold.

A  most   B extremely     C utterly   D very

help me please, I have answers  but I don't understand, so give me a detailed explanation.

D. Only 'very' can be used here in standard English to modify the adjective 'last'.

Best wishes, Clive
