I didn't have much of an emotional attachment to him yet (he really hadn't been featured in the movie all that much), and thus the scene failed to draw the desired sympathy from me.  All in all, the movie version felt as if it was just going through the motions.  It featured all the important scenes and events of the book, but failed to draw me in with its wooden acting and lack of atmosphere.

I agree! I agree! I agree! The film feed us with beautifully done graphics but failed to satisfy us in characters development.

A children story is just what I expected. That's why I wanted to see it. Big Smile [:D]

I watched it in the theater, and actually enjoyed it. It was a children's story, but a good one that can attract adults as well.

I have read the book and thoroughly enjoyed that, I was not expecting that the movie could do it justice, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think the movie was very well done and I loved it.
Everyone I know who has seen it has enjoyed it and many have now seen it twice. Maybe here in Australia we are all just big kids.
I do however agree with Young Californian in that the scene at the stone table did not have the impact it carried in the book and we do not get to know Aslan in the movie.
I'm looking forward to the next movie.

Hey it may be a children's story but it's definitely worth listening to as an audiobook. I've just got hold of it for free here: (removed by mod) the the rendering is truly marvellous. The website is considered illegal but don't take heed of that.

i've just seen it, some of the roles are just like the ones in the game "HERO".

It is hard to evaluate, and all depends on which kind of movies you like.
