I'm tired of always having to clear up after you .

Could you tell me what the "clear up after you" means in this sentence?

I know "clear up" = "to make places tidy by removing unwanted things"

The thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could; but when he ventured upon insult, I vowed revenge.

'After you' is used in the sense of 'behind you'. The idea is that you always make a mess and I have to follow behind you, cleaning up your mess.

Best wishes, Clive
