-Did you notice Kwan's son down at the Air Force booth?

-Growing up with Kwan,
the Air Force would seem like Club Med.
Meaning if you're his son

the Air Force won't be so tough for you?

Compared to whatever it was he was accustomed to, the Air Force would seem like a luxury vacation. "Club Med" is a vacation destination where for one price, all of your needs are met - your meals, your hotel, your entertainment and recreation. It's generally considered a great place to relax.

Hey, GG.  I thought Club Med was pretty much a thing of the past.  I haven't heard much about it since I've joined the Elderhostel and Grand Circle age-group.

I don't know if they still exist either, but I remember their jingle - the Club Med vacation, the antidote for civilization... (I have this idiot-savant syndrome of remembering jingles from my childhood. Put a Tic-Tac in your mouth and get a bang out of life! Bubble Bubble Yum is so much fun fun fun, it's number one one one in bubble gum... It's a curse. But I can do most the Schoolhouse Rock jingles too, so it's not all bad.)

I've never been able to afford vacations like that, but I do think that Club Med was the grandfather of the all.
