We have the long awaited answer to the burning question: what does the sheriff mean when he says "clue, no"?
I've watched the first few episodes of
Robin Hood and discovered that there is no great mystery here. The whole "clue, no" business is nothing more than a personal idiosyncrasy--a verbal tick, if you will. My guess is that it's something the actor came up with on set and the director or the writers (or both) liked it so much that it became part of the sheriff's persona for the rest of the series. I have to say I find it forced and unnatural, but hey, I'm not making the big bucks in television either.
I can't say I'm finding this series especially compelling. Oh well, even the great and powerful Beeb strikes out from time to time I guess.
