Hello

I would like to ask  which one is right between:

1.   ABC Co.,Ltd. (with a comma)

2. ABC Co. Ltd. (without comma)

I have read an article in Japanese which said that (2) is right and the comma in (1) is not needed.

Thanks

That's right, number 2, without the comma, is the correct version.

The name says it all.
Thank you very much for your answere. Almost companies in Japan are using "Co., Ltd."

sorry, i think the no.1 is correct..

I saw most companies were using it..

correct use should be No.1 as i know.

How interesting. It seems as thought there is geographical variation in this.

In the west, no comma. In other areas, possibly with a comma.

I think the problem is linked to companies in Asia. There are to many abbreviations and this is pointless. Co is a common abbreviation for company and Ltd  for a private limited company in the UK. There is no need for a comma. But I can imagine that the very first use was a kind of mistake by chance and after that they are in the situation of no escape. They would rather stick to the mistake then correct it. I have seen ABC Co., Ltd.  a lot but this doen't make it right:-) Though meanwhile it is already custom:-)

Is it me or is it the universe? It could be the universe but I am not sure thus I have been still wondering and drinking tea. However, the tea is getting cold.
