hey everyone!

I'm new here, my name's Lara.

I have some questions and I wa sthinking maybe you could help me with some of them.so,

(they're all refered to US learning system so if you're american and know the answers I'd be really grateful)

1-what does Bachelor's degree mean?

2-what's the diference between undergraduate and graduate?

3-what's postsecondary education?

4-and graduate school?

5-what's the difference between college and university? cause I've heared college is a part of a university. like, the university is the whole and then college is like a paart fo it...I don't know if this makes any sense...

6-what's a major and a minor?I've been told major=more hours of study, minor=the subjects you study less

7-in general, I'd like to know how the US university system works. I mean, for what I know, I think you guys study all the same subjects during your first years or sth like that and then you schoose certain subjects ...IDK

8-what exactly are the steps you follor after you finish school and if you want to continue studying? i mena, do u go to college or univeristy or what do u do?

9-how does the SAT's work?

10-are this terms: freshman, sophomore, junior and senior used while at school or while at university?

11-I'm from Spain, and here after you finish school (with 18 years) you usually go to university where you can choose between 3 years studies or 5 years. but from the very beginning you choose what you wanna study and depending on what you schoose you have certain subjects, but everyone studying, for example, journalism, has the same subjects...I think in the states you just study the same stuff for some year, it doesn't matter if you are gonan study journalism or medicine etc...is that like that?

thanks for your help, if you feel like helping me, you cane mail me at larahernandeznavarro@hotmail.com
