- a fairy tale - a funny story / a joke - a folk tale - a crime story - a detective story.

- Are these natural?

2. A "comic strip" is funnier than a "comic book", right?

1) yes these are natural.

2) a comic strip is just one little joke - it might be just three or four pictures long. Or it might be a page long. Comic strips are what you might find in a newspaper.

A comic book is an entire book in comic format. It might be one long story, several stories, or a collection of comic strips.

The difference is length, nothing to do with how funny they are.

A couple of very minor comments.

The phrase 'Hey buddy' is not as common as you might think.

Generally speaking, adults, especially men, do not spend a lot of time reading fairy tales, except perhaps to their small children.
