I wondered for a sec if this was her way of coming on to me, walking around naked for my viewing pleasure.

Is 'coming on' the same as 'hitting on'?
Thanks.

Who wants to go sailing around the world with me?

.
I have no personal experience with these phenomena, but they seem a bit different; the first seems slightly more proactive:

hit on someone
to clearly show that you are sexually attracted to someone. Pete doesn't even realize half the time when girls are hitting on him.

come on to someone
to try to attract someone romantically or sexually. She felt bold and confident enough to come on to him at the party.
