I have another sentence here and I'm wondering whether to use a comma or a semi colon.

"Mary Warren cowered under the pressure of Abigail Williams(Wink [;)] and to save herself, she created a lie about John Proctor being affiliated with the Devil."

I'm thinking smei colon, but im contemplating whether to remove the "and" proceeding it.

I appreciate all of the help that I have recieved from this forum.  It's really incredible how much help you're accessable to in such short periods of time.

Thanx

Hi,

I have another sentence here and I'm wondering whether to use a comma or a semi colon.

"Mary Warren cowered under the pressure of Abigail Williams(Wink <img src=" src="/emoticons/emotion-5.gif"> and to save herself, she created a lie about John Proctor being affiliated with the Devil."

I'm thinking smei colon, but im contemplating whether to remove the "and" proceeding it. Yes, remove the 'and' if you use a semi-colon.Have you considered simply using a period to create two sentences? That's what I'd do.
