Do you need a comma or any other punctuations after etc?

Hi,

How would you handle the situation like below grammatically? Will you use a comma or what?

I have some apples, oranges, tangerines, etc on the table

Etc. requires a period but no comma, as it is the final item in the series.

Thank you, so the sentence would be like this (with a PERIOD) :

I have some apples, oranges, tangerines, etc. on the table.

Yes because the period after etc. shows that it is an abbreviation.
