Hi

Could you please tell me which one is better? Is the first one a comma splice sentence?

Come, we are getting late.

Come; we are getting late.

Hi,

Come, we are getting late. This sounds fine and normal to me. The imperative is so short, it doesn't seem inappropriate to use a comma.

Come; we are getting late. This seems inappropriate.

Best wishes, Clive
