Perhaps it is a sound that only those surrounded by nature are attuned to.

enkidu,  After a winter in the Arctic I couldn't agree more.  When the Aurora Borealis "dances," and the pipes of heaven play, , at least, found myself "attuned to nature" so forceably as to still remember the experience(s) 40 years later.  Personally I see nothing qrong with the sentece or the sentiment.  and CERTAINLY nothing wrong with ending the sentence with a preposition.
