Hi, Pieter,
I am a postgraduate student in the uni and do a bit research on the communicative approach. I would like to have a look of some of your 40 topics. I don't think I can read them all, could you select some of better ones in your view? Thanks a lot.
My email is: <email removed-mod>
Cheers,
Cathy

Hello Sir,

I was surfing the net to find more materials and knowledge on how i can be able to teach english communicatively and effectively when i chanced upon your post. I got interested in the interactive CD roms that you mentioned and the other 40 topics that you use in your discussions. Would it not be too much of me to ask for a  list of the said materials.  Thank you so much in advance.

Marcia

Hello to all

I am an international student and have just completed MA TESOL from a university in California (LA). I think this is a good place for me to post my question.

Since we are talking about communicative language teaching (CLT) here, I have a question about it and believe that someone may be of help. I am wondering how I can make CLT possible in EFL setting. The central notion of CLT is that students communicatively exchange meaningful messages through second language. However, EFL students are homogeneous, that is they all speak the same language. How do I encourage my students to negotiate with one another in second language without forcing them or not letting them memorize.

For those of you who have had experiences teaching EFL students, what technique(s) have you used. What method(s) do you think can be implemented? Only one method or a combination of methods work best?

Hi...

I am taking up my master's degree in Language Studies and it's my first year. I need tons of help for my paper. I am asked to choose which among the second language acquisition theories  I can apply to a class of 16 year old non-native speakers with good background in English. My head is about to explode. I need pieces of advice. I really need all the help I can get. I am not an English teacher. Sad [:(]

Thank you all in advance.

P.s. Under what theory is the communicative approach? If the question is dense, so sorry. Sad [:(]
