Wondering what the rules are to determine how to end the sentences that compare subjects, objects and actions. I have noticed some sentences repeat the verb or aux. verb, but am not quite sure about the rules.

Also which of the sentences below are correct?

        • He is as tall as I am.
        • He is as tall as I
        • He did as good as I did
        • He did as good as I
        • He has done as good as I have
        • He has done as good as I have done
        • He has done as good as I.

Thanks

Hello, Nkm, welcome to the English Forums!

I think your sentences are all fine, apart from the fact that it should be either "as much good as", or "as well as", depending on the meaning you have in mind.

I'm glad to help, but I'm not a native! And please excuse my typos...

Thanks Pieanne!

I should also include one object comparison.

She has a cat that is as tall as mine is.

She has a cat that is as tall as mine.

If all are correct, what is the most common usage?

Both are correct. It think the second option would be more common, since it's shorter, but maybe you should also consider "her cat is as tall as mine"?
