Just a generaly note for people who want to be similarly recognized: It's a really bad idea to say "I deserve this because someone else has it too." It has nothing to do with post counts.
In my experience, people who consistently post helpful and correct posts in the grammar and vocabulary sections get noticed by the people who bestow these ticks. And if you have been doing that and you feel you have been overlooked, then a polite PM to a moderator (who can all receive them from any member) is the way to go. A public complaint about your lack of "recognition" is NOT the way to go.
Active participation in "topic of the moment" or adding words that start with the last letter of the previous word or talking about your favorite movies or sports figures are ways to practice using English, but post count has nothing to do with anything except post count.
And finally, the proficiency check is not a "reward" for good behavior or active participation. It's to let learners know "this is a response you can trust."
