Well, you were talking about condominia in a previous thread, weren't you?-- so this would be a swimming pool on the property of the housing complex.

Or it could have something to do with DNA or carpooling or...? Could you give us just a bit of context?

Thanks, Mr. M.

What is a complex if we're talking about housing?

What's the difference between a complex and a plaza?

Can condominium buildings be called a complex?

Thanks for your help.

A housing complex is a single large property on which have been built a number or variety of buildings and facilities (like a swimming pool or tennis courts or a fitness center)-- the point is, it is not just a single large apartment building or condominium.

A plaza is simply a central outdoor area or a public square. Since the advent of shopping malls, etc, however. it is also a:

'mercantile establishment consisting of a carefully landscaped complex of shops representing leading merchandisers; usually includes restaurants and a convenient parking area; a modern version of the traditional marketplace'.

I presume that you could also call this a 'shopping complex'.
