Hi,

Please comment on the sentence below.

The reason why most companies aren't running six-day-shift is because if you ran three shifts with 6 working days each during one of the shift change your staff would feel as though they just had a very short off-day.

Thank you.

Well, it seems rather awkwardly constructed; the conditional is OK, though:

Most companies aren't running six-day shifts;  if they ran three 6-day shifts, at one of the shift changes their staff would experience a very short day off.

Hi,

The short prose that I put up earlier was actually a reply to a question as to whether or not six-day shifts is workable, and if it is why aren't many companies doing it.

How does this sounds:

Most companies aren't running six-day shifts because either they've experienced it or they would have been advised that if they ran three 6-day shifts, at one of the shift changes their staff would experience a very short day off.

Thanks.

Jeeva
