Hi,

Is this a mixed conditional where a present result is predicated upon a hypothetical past action?

I would apologize if there had been a sign of uneasiness on my part toward you at the meeting.

Is this somewhat the same as this?

I would apologize if I had sown a sign of uneasiness toward you at the meeting.

If yes, would you say both are a mixed conditional?

You have another post on nearly the same subject.  See my answer there.

They are mixed conditionals, and they are very awkward.  Sad
