has anybody heard of something called 3.5 conditional???

The '3.5' is a chapter number in a text HERE.  It has to do with computer language, not English grammar.

I meant third and half conditional...Wink [;)]

I've just read a thread on mixing conditionals...it's maybe that what i mean..

When I see an if clause with had and a main clause with would (not would have), I call it a 'fourth conditional", but I didn't think anyone had actually invented the term 3.5 conditional.

If you had studied Japanese when you were in school, you would be able to translate this text for me now.
