Should I contribute/donate some money?
Hi,
Do both contribute and donate fit in the above and mean about the same to you? Thanks.

Without true love, life is meaningless and worthless since our physical world is nothing but a dream. ~~Angliholic~~簡瑞達

No. Donate is connected to contributing to charity or similar.
Contribute just means you will provide some money towards something.
You could contribute towards the cost of your parents' anniversary party, for example, but not donate to it.
