Hello LB

Sometimes pasting text directly from Word causes problems, as the formatting doesn't always convert very well.

For instance, it may be difficult for other users to quote (and therefore answer) your post.

To avoid this, you can paste your text first into Notepad, and then copy again from Notepad into the Reply box here.

It means you'll lose your formatting; but it may make your post easier to answer.

Have a good Sunday,

MrP

Can anyone tell me how I can copy a Word file else where and then paste it in a thread here to post it. Now, it seems that I have to type word by word here.

Thanks,

Select the text you want to copy and copy it using the Control+C command. Go to the thread you want to post to, and when the post window is open, paste it using Control+V.

Others have suggested saving your Word file in Notepad, where only the text is saved, and then pasting that into the forum, to ensure no weird formatting things happen.
