I don't know if this is the right place to post this, and whether or not it is allowed. I have number of articles that were supposedly have been checked by my teacher, but one accidentally got in the hands of another. This another teacher found there were still plenty of corrections. Anyway, long story short, I need help from someone to check the grammar, if it's not too much to ask. And this will probably be a continuous request as the articles are for our magazine and some might come in later. As for the poems, my English teacher said the grammar needs to be correct unless the wrong ones serve to give some effect to the writing. I've attached a document containing the short stories and poems.

Thanks!

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

I don't see your attachment. You need to post your material, one item at a time, in the body of your post, ie not attached. I suggest you post to the ESL Writing sections of the Forum, which you'll find listed on the 'menu'. Try not to post too much in a single post, as shorter posts get more answers.

Best wishes, Clive

Actually, this raises a good point.

Does anyone here offer a proof-reading service that just checks grammar?

Hi,

Does anyone here offer a proof-reading service that just checks grammar?

It sounds like you are looking for some kind of commercial service where you pay a fee.

Here are a few comments on how the Forum operates, from my point of view.

The Forum is a teaching-oriented environment, where the focus of correcting is to help people to improve their English. All the helpers are volunteers. I prefer to correct short passages, although sometimes I have time to correct long ones. I am very reluctant to correct long passages repeatedly for the same person. If a sentence is awkward and unnatural, but grammatically correct, I always point that out and help the writer to correct it.

Best wishes, Clive
