ABSTRACT
Limb Lymphedema is a common long-term complication of breast cancer treatment. The patients usually
suffer from fatigue, blunt, abnormal of appearance, repeated infection, pain of limb disorder, because there is a
self vicious circle in pathogenesis. Nowadays, evaluate
and management of upper limb Lymphedema after operation of breast cancer are
developed by overseas, however, the national health staffs and patients have
not paid the enough attention to this issue and lack right cognizant. The
purpose of this study is to provide foundation of data and basis to prevent and
increase patient’s self-management of Lymphedema and upper limb Lymphedema after
the operation of breast cancer.
Method: analysis of 46 patients of
Lymphedema after the operation of breast cancer.
Conclusion: the risk elements of upper limb
Lymphedema after the operation of breast cancer are the method of operation,
postoperative radiotherapy, and wound infection, and through the upper limb functional
exercise, self-management will reduce the rate of Lymphedema postoperative
breast cancer
