Sir,

1. He was a most unhappy man.

Is the above sentence correct, if Yes then,

Why the article "a" has been used in this sentence instead of the article "the"( most unhappy as superlative degree of an djective " unhappy").

Are the following sentences correct.

2. I am six years old next Sunday.

3.Tomorrow will be Sunday.

4. We were having a car in those day.

5. He wants wactching TV the whole day.

6. He said me that his stomach was runbling.

7.He spend her days to cook for her family.

Hi Hanuman,

1. He was a most unhappy man. Correct. One meaning of 'most' is 'very'; it is not a superlative here.

2. I am six years old next Sunday. OK. Present can be used for near future which is planned or assured.

3.Tomorrow will be Sunday. OK

4. We were having a car in those day. Nope. 'We had a car in those days.' 'Have' in the sense of possession does not normally form continuous aspects.

5. He wants wactching TV the whole day. Nope. 'He wants to watch TV the whole day.'

6. He said me that his stomach was runbling. Nope. 'He told me' or 'he said to me'; and 'rumbling' is the correct spelling.

7.He spend her days to cook for her family. Not unless s/he is bisexual. 'She spends her days cooking for the family.'
