Which is the correct phrase: "match with" or "match to". This is in reference to writing directions in quizzes or tests, particularly when the test-taker is asked to match a word woth a picture. Personally, I use " Match the noun on the left column with the corresponding picture on the right column." or "Draw a line from the word on the left column to the picture on the right column. In some textbooks, "match to" is used. Is this acceptable?

Both "match with" and "match to" seem fine to me.
