Hi all,

Which one is correct sentence,

The list below are the required actions

or

The below list are the required actions.

I think the first ones is the correct sentence. The noun "list" should comes first and followed by the adjective "below". I'am right?

Hi,

Which one is correct sentence,

The list below are shows/gives the required actions OK, but you need a singular veb with the singular subject 'lists'.

or

The below list are the required actions. Not OK.

I think the first ones is the correct sentence. The noun "list" should comes first and followed by the adjective "below". I'am right?Yes, you are.

You could also say 'the following list'.

When it comes to above and below used as adjectives, I prefer them after the noun.  Some people insist that they can be used in front of the nouns, but that grates on my ear as much as the asleep man or saying We did that the before time instead of We did that the time before.  It seems to me that all such modifiers (adverb-like or preposition-like words with a- or be- prefixes) are better after the nouns they modify.

the list above; the list below; the photo above; the photo below.

But in this specific case I would rephrase your sentence thus:

The required actions are listed below.
