(a) The watermelon is bigger than the other fruit. Okay

(b) The cinema is the second one on your right. The second what? The second building? Or the cinema where we are meeting is the second cinema on the right? (Unlikely - most towns don't have two cinemas located on the same block.)

(c) He comes from the broken family / house / home. This isn't used much any more. His parents are divorced.

(d) I won the match and took a prize. I got the prize for winning the match.

(e) Could you make coffee to me? ...for me?

(f) She heard the sound of  footsteps coming from the outside. She saw a burglar.

She heard the sound .....(How do I describe the sound if I heard some sound that the

burglars made?)  What sound do burglars make? I've never encountered a burglar in my life. The sound of a breaking window? The sound of drawered being pulled out and emptied?

(g) I heard the ambulance siren of the ambulance continuously far on the way to /towards the scene. Who is going to the scene? You or the ambulance?

Barbara, who answers in American English. My housekeeping skills attest to the truth of the second law of thermodynamics: Left to themselves, things get more and more random!
