Hi
I have written an informal letter just to practice my written English. Could you please check it for me? Thank you.

Dear Sir
First of all, I would like to thank you for allowing us to have a say in library acquisition process.
The book I would like to recommend is "Learn how to use the Internet in 90 minutes" by Sarah Hitchins. This book, which is written not by a 'geek' or an academic but by an ordinary Internet user like you and me, is an essential guide for those who want to get out more from the wen while spending less time in front of a computer.
In clearly labelled chapters, it tells you how to use different search engines, how to communicate with other people, what you should do to protect your privacy on the web and many more.
On of the best things I like about this particular book is its clarity of language. Many books written by computer experts are usually loaded with jargons which just make us, lay people, more baffled than ever. However, this book is written in a language that we usually use everyday so even people who are not proficient in English can read and understand it with ease. Another reason that I think we should have the book in the library is that it will help the students know more about searching the information on the Internet much faster. Since we only have a few computers in the library for students using the Internet, if they have to spend less time looking for the information on the web, more students will be able to use the computers in a day.
I am confident that all students as well as teachers will enjoy reading it because it will give them essential skills needed to increase their personal effectiveness and get their job done much faster.
Yours sincerely
